I moved to The Hague, Netherlands on January 7th, 2009 for a two year international assignment for my company, SAIC. The job involves missile defence and our company is part of a team of 9 companies from 6 nations.
Unfortunately I had to leave my beautiful fiancee, Lindsey, behind while she finished up graduate school. She will finish in April, we’ll get married in May, then she’ll fly over to live with me in Europe!
The Hague is centrally located in Europe, making weekend trips to France, Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg a breeze. Also, being only about a 30 minute train ride to Amsterdam’s Schipol Airport will make it easy to fly to popular European destinations for a long weekend - and I plan to take advantage!
